Triathlon Camps: For fun, adventurous destination training in a spectacular venue, we suggest The Boulder Experience training camp this July. DZ training camps are no average vacation: besides building fitness in the most scenic and challenging training locations on earth, you’ll share an unforgettable experience with a great group of triathletes.
Personal Coaching: Serious about your triathlon goals? Whether you’re beginner or elite, personal coaching is the best way to make the most of your training. DZ Head Coach Mike Coughlin and Associate Coaches Brad Walker and Mike Mahoney will be happy to tailor a training program specific to you. Whether you’re new to the sport or going for a big goal race, next to determination your coach is your single best ticket to success.
Personal Training: Did you know that DZ coaches also provide personal training? Sometimes the best way to improve is personal, one-on-one, triathlon-specific training. Talk to your DZ coach or email us about personal training options.
Beginners: It’s a core value of Discomfort Zone that we provide accessible training that’s comfortable for beginners to come out and learn. Beginners are welcome at all DZ events–you’ll find a fun, social, and welcoming group of triathletes.
Most of all, we’re excited about coaching triathletes to achieve their goals. Whether it’s getting ready for that first try-a-tri, a personal best time, health and fitness, or a serious shot at the Ultraman World Championships, helping athletes to perform out of their comfort zone is what Discomfort Zone is all about.

2014 Triathlon Clinics – Guelph, Ontario
Getting out for some fun, interesting, and challenging training in a group environment can be a key component in a successful training program. Built specifically around the needs of athletes, clinics are a great way to train train consistently over a session of between five and ten weeks, while picking up skills, meeting other triathletes, and getting some in-person instruction.
DZ Summer Triathlon Clinic starts June 12 at the Guelph Lake and runs through July 14. This clinic runs for ten sessions, Mondays and Thursdays 6-8pm. Swimming, cycling and running will take place outdoors in open water and on the race courses at Guelph Lake.
We’ll be offering a variety of weekly group triathlon training at clinics throughout the year, with indoor pool & track training in the winter transitioning to open water and outdoor workouts during the triathlon season.
